Naia & Brandy
Brandy arrived at the government shelter when she was only four weeks old, together with her mother, father, and siblings. The adult dogs still had tethers around their necks, suggesting they had been outdoor pets that were never sterilised.
Although the shelter was not an ideal environment for such young puppies, it was important they stayed with their mother. When their mum became severely underweight and needed hospital care, the three tiny puppies could not have survived without constant feeding. Sofia stepped in immediately and took them into her care.
At first they lived at Sofia’s house so they could be fed regularly, before moving to the sanctuary. Brandy, along with her sister Naia, was later adopted — but both girls were returned through no fault of their own. They began their search for the right family once again.
This time it worked out perfectly. Naia found a wonderful forever home, and Brandy joined Sebastijan’s family, where she now lives happily with her new sister, Chichi. It has been the best possible match for her.
